Dr. Natalia Silberstein is a Senior Research Associate at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. She earned her PhD from the Technion’s Computer Science Department, focusing on coding theory and in particular on network coding. Following her doctoral studies, she conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Texas at Austin, focusing on error-correcting codes for distributed storage systems.
Her professional background includes nearly 10 years at Teads (formerly Outbrain) and Yahoo Research, where she served as a Data Science Team Lead and Research Scientist. Her industry work focused on developing and optimizing deep learning models and recommender systems for production environments. Currently, Natalia is part of Prof. Eitan Yaakobi and Prof. Tuvi Etzion’s research team at the Technion, where her research focuses on algorithms and error-correcting codes for DNA storage systems.
